ROBERT H. SPENCE

  Robert H. Spence, 69, died Monday night at his home in Johnstown after an 
extended illness.  He was born in Scotland, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spence.  
He lived in Meyersdale for 40 years before going to Johnstown a few years ago.
  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Spence and five children: Mrs. L. 
M. Lewis, Somerset; Robert Spence, Meyersdale; Mrs. L. L. Davis, Pittsburgh, 
George Spence, Indiana, and Russell L. Spence, of Johnstown; also three 
grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: David and James Spence of 
Meyersdale; Rodger Spence of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Janet Williams and Mrs. Robins 
Flynn, both of New York City.
  Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the 
Konhaus Funeral Home.  Rev. R. M. Dunkelberger, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, 
officiated.  Burial in the Union Cemetery.
