Born Aug. 6, 1911 in Meyersdale, son of the late Henry Clay and Josephine (Bollinger) Sperry. Survived by wife, the former Ruth L. Baker; a brother, Robert R. Sperry, Ridgeley, W.Va.; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Porter, Cumberland, and Mrs. Mary Ann Abare, Silver Springs,[sic] Md. Veteran of U.S. Army World War II. Member of VFW Post 3504. Retired from Baker Chevrolet Co., Meyersdale with 48 years of service. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor James L.
