Spiker, 65, died September 13, 1983, at his residence. Born May 1, 1918 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was a son of the late David Spiker and Rella (Spiker) Spiker. He was a retired employee of Salisbury Borough. He was a member of the Boynton Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his widow, Dorothy M. (Kinsinger) Spiker; one son, Clayton Spiker, Meyersdale; a daughter, Mrs. Darlene Scarlett, Meyersdale RD 1; four grandchildren; two brothers, George Spiker, Salisbury; Calvin Spiker, Boynton; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Maust, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; Mrs. Helen Dishong, Frostburg, Maryland; Mrs. Wilma Platter, Grantsville, Maryland; three half-sisters, Mrs. Florence Anderson, Frostburg, Maryland; Mrs. Leona Crawford and Mrs. Margaret Sharlosky, both of Baltimore, Maryland. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. William Clites officiating. Interment will be in Salisbury Cemetery.
