Spiker, 81, formerly of North Hollywood, Calif., and Tire Hill, died Jan. 7, 1989, at Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg. He was born Oct. 12, 1907, in Somerset County, son of John and Stella (Kennell) Spiker. Preceded in death by parents; wife, former Margaret McLucas; and two sisters, Ilean Spiker and Gladys Lepley. He is survived by these stepchildren: Victor Andreine, married to former Phyllis Albright, State Line, and Harry Andreine, married to former Mickey Cochran, Santa Clara, Calif.; also four stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. He was a brother of Emma Witt, Wellersburg. He was retired from Bird Coal Co. with 25 years as tipple foreman; retired from Douglas Aircraft, North Hollywood, Calif., with 15 years service; member of Aerospace union. Friends were received at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville, where funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Alvin Holsopple officiating. Interment, Stahl Mennonite Cemetery.
