Spiker, 89, of Route 1, Grantsville, Md., died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1988, in the Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Md. Born Nov. 1, 1899, in Grantsville, Md., he was the son of the late George W. and Lucinda (Spiker) Spiker. He was a woodsman and a member of the Red Run Mennonite Church. Surviving are his widow, Annie (Merrbach) Spiker; one son, Thomas Spiker, Grantsville, Md.; four sisters, Helen Spiker, Alice Teter, Elsie Guthrie and Jean Spiker, all of Grantsville, Md.; and four grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Paul H. Yoder. Interment, Merrbach Cemetery.
