Spiker, 70, Schellsburg RD 1, formerly of Tire Hill, died July 29, 1985, at Mercy Hospital. He was born July 21, 1915, in Boswell, son of the late Harry and Alberta (Clites) Spiker. He was preceded in death by two children, a granddaughter, and a sister. He is survived by widow, former Lillian Delancy, whom he married Nov. 16, 1936, and these children: Lois Jean, wife of Donald Penrod, Johnstown; and Harry Jacob, married to the former Mary Jane Krivach, Erie; also eight grandchildren. He was the brother of Mrs. Effie Yates, Knox; Mrs. Viola Cogan, Clearville; and Dewey, Tunnellton, W.Va. He was a retired coal miner from Bird Coal Co., Tire Hill, with 36 years service; member of UMWA and Methodist church. Friends were received at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Shellsburg, where services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Benton McKee. Interment, Shellsburg Cemetery.
