MARIA SPIKER

Grantsville, Maryland

  Mrs. Maria Spiker, wife of the late Isaac Spiker, died at her home several 
miles from Grantsville on Tuesday, April 8, of pneumonia.  She was the daughter 
of the late John and Sarah Durst, and was 72 years of age.  She is survived by 
the following children: Charles Durst, Thomas and Genevieve Spiker, Mrs. David 
Spiker, Mrs. John Crowe, Mrs. Ida Ebaugh, Mrs. Emma Spiker, Mrs. Richard 
Swauger, and sisters, Mrs. Amanda Poleman and Mrs. Maggie McKenzie.  The funeral 
was held Thursday afternoon at Mt. Zion Methodist Church.  Rev. A. C. Bell 
officiated; interment in the adjoining cemetery.
