   Millard Spory, 93, formerly of Boswell, died peacefully, Aug. 31, 2008, surrounded by
  his family and loving Arbutus Park caregivers. Born July 1, 1915, in Jenner Township,
  son of the late Harry and Katie (Croyle) Spory. Preceded in death by his loving wife of
  66 years, Mary Saylor; and sister, Esther, wife of Paul R. Wingard. Survived by six
  children, Lois, married to Sanford Alwine, Carlisle; Ernest "Dutch," Hollsopple; Louise,
  married to Dan Nofziger, Buhl, Idaho; Melvin, married to the former Cathy Holsopple,
  Boswell; Donna, married to Milton Nofziger; Bryan, Ohio; and Paul "Pete," married to the
  former Evonne Alwine, Boswell. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren
  and one great-great-grandchild. He was an active member of First Mennonite Church,
  Johnstown and a former member of Headrick and Thomas Mennonite churches, where he was
  involved as a Sunday school superintendent and teacher. A former Johnstown Christian
  School board member and member of the Somerset County Farmers' Association. Millard was
  known as a hard worker who enjoyed working the land. He loved his God and his church. He
  enjoyed singing and sharing time with his family, his friends and his neighbors. Family
  receiving friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc.,
  Davidsville, and from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service, 10 a.m. Thursday, at Thomas
  Mennonite Church. Interment, Thomas Mennonite Cemetery. Those who wish please make
