Springer, 69, Boswell RD 2, died at his home Jan. 12, 1980. Born May 7, 1910, in Salemville, Pa., son of the late R. J. and Gertrude (Baker) Springer. The former owner of the Springer Ski Shop near Boswell, also a member of the Latrobe Elks 907. Preceded in death by three brothers: John B. Springer, R.J. Springer Jr., and Robert Springer. Survived by his wife, Viola (King) Springer, one daughter, Mrs. Prosser (Sandra) Mellon, Ligonier; also survived by three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Pauline G. Grabiak, Ligonier; Mrs. Ina Vinnacombe, Ligonier; Mrs. Emma Jean Moonley, Camarillo, Calif.; also by several nephews. There will be no visitation. A blessing service will be held at the Snyder Funeral Home Chapel, Bell and Church Sts., Ligonier, Tuesday 10 a.m. Private interment will be made at the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
