  SPRUELL
  
    Chester Leroy "Chet" Spruell Sr., Friedens, 62, died May 14, 1997,
  at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born July 16, 1934, in
  Detroit, Mich.  Son of the late Clarence and Frances (Ross)
  Spruell.  Survived by wife, the former Sondra Lee Baird, to whom he
  was married for 39 years, and these children: Chester L. Spruell Jr.,
  married to the former Kimberly Potts, Glade Pike Road, Somerset;
  Jeffery A. Spruell, and girlfriend, Gail Furnari, of Ligonier;
  grandchildren: Dustin, Amanda, James, Stephen Spruell and Keaton and
  his man's best friend, K.C.  U.S. Navy veteran; served 1954-1960;
  1965 graduate of Electronics Institute of Detroit.  Member of
  American Legion Post 181; Jenner Rod and Gun Club; Somerset Remote
  Control Flying Club.  Was a managerial consultant for DeVilbiss
  Health Care.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday
  at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be conducted
  at 1:30 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. James R. Ling officiating. 
  Interment, St. John's Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to
  Leukemia Society of America Inc., Western Pennsylvania Chapter, 2
  Gateway Center, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15222.
