Stader, 70, South Center Ave., Somerset, died March 3, 1983, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 12, 1912, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Stanley and Esther (McKelvey) Stader. He was a member of the Somerset Church of Christ, Somerset Historical Society, one of the founders of the animal shelter and Laurel Highlands Animal Hospital, retired borough engineer, railroad enthusiast. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from Naval Reserve in March 1972. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday (today) in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m., Mr. John Hinton officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery. Daily American, March 5, 1983 [S2684]
