  Edward A. Stahl, 77, Somerset RD 4, died July 12, 1987, at his
  residence.  Born Sept. 21, 1909, in Lincoln Township, son of the late
  George Russell and Bertha (Shaffer) Stahl.  Preceded in death by his
  wife, the former Nora Gertrude Hartge, Feb. 11, 1967; a son, Sgt.
  Donald E. Stahl, June 27, 1966; two brothers, Fred and Ernest; and a
  sister, Blanche Walker.  Survived by three sons, William E., Somerset
  RD 4; Russell H., Somerset RD 6; and Earl F., Meyersdale RD 4; 15
  grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Ray (Anna
  Marie) Baldwin, Somerset RD 6; Charles B., Tampa, Fla.; and Glenn L.,
  Altoona.  Member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, AARP, and life member
  of Bakersville Volunteer Fire Company.  Friends received 7-9 p.m.
  Monday and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home.  Service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Zion Lutheran
  Church, Pastor Donald L. Knowles officiating.  Interment, Bakersville
  Cemetery.  Family suggests contributions to Somerset Community
  Hospital (In Touch Hospice Care Unit).  Body will lie in state at the
  church from 9 a.m. until service time.
