All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ _______________________________________________ STAHL Harvey Ernest Stahl, a long-time local resident, died Jan. 9, 1982, in St. John's Nursing and Convalescing Home, Springfield, Ohio, where he resided for the past four years. Born in 1888 near Friedens, son of Noah and Nancy (Schaeffer) Stahl. As a youth, he was apprenticed to P.L. Casebeer of Casebeer's Jewelry Store, located at the present site of Newberry's. Subsequently, this became Stahl's Jewelry Store which moved to its present location on N. Center Ave. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Josephine Rhoads of Oklahoma City. He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge and was actively interested in the business affairs of the community. Survivors include a daughter, Josephine (Armstrong) of Springfield, Ohio; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral arrangements were handled by Jackson, Lytle and Coffman of Springfield. Graveside services in the Husband Cemetery will be held at a date to be announced later. Daily American, January 21, 1982 [S2727]
