    James C. Stahl, 89, Somerset RD 1, died Nov. 5, 1981 at Memorial
  Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    He was born Oct. 28, 1892, in Meyersdale, son of the late Peter R.
  and Annie (Robbins) Stahl.  He was also preceded in death by wives;
  the former Amanda J. Lenhart and the former Lulu B. Wechtenhiser;
  son, James, and brothers, William and George.
    He is survived by children: Rozella, wife of Ray Duckworth, Canton,
  Ohio; Mrs. Ann Martin, Mrs. Mildred Wechtenhiser, Dorothy, wife of
  Jack Mitchell, all of Berlin; Mae, wife of Samuel Mack, Medina, Ohio;
  Betty, wife of Earl Wahl Jr., Somerset RD 1; Virginia, wife of Dean
  Lyons, Somerset RD 5; P. Robert Stahl, Salisbury; and one stepson,
  Bert Wechtenhiser, Jacksonville, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 13
  great-grandchildren.  He was a brother of Clarence, Pittsburgh; Mrs.
  Nellie Brant, Baltimore, Md.; and Mrs. Florence Phillips,
  Johnstown.  He was a member of the Church of the Brethren.  
    Friends were received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Martin A. Miller officiating. 
  Interment Ridge Church Cemetery.
