Stahl, Jr., 83, 100 Fairhaven Drive, Taylors, S.C., husband of Margie Westmoreland Stahl, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 at Allen Bennett Hospital. Born in Somerset County, he is a son of the late Josiah W. Sr. and Mary Daniels Stahl. Mr. Stahl was preceded in death by a grandson, Ronald G. Stahl Jr. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter: Cathy Jo Davis and her husband, Charles of Greer, S.C.; two sons: Ronald G. Stahl and his wife, Mary L. of Luray, Va.; and Randall J. Stahl, Greenville, S.C.; a sister: Betty V. Brendle, Somerset; a brother: Robert V. Stahl of Berlin Center, Ohio; three grandchildren: Brian Stahl, Chris Davis and Joey Stahl. Mr. Stahl had two years of college and technical training at M.I.T. in engineering before he retired with Greenville Machinery Corporation as a textile engineer. He was a member of Poe United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran from World War II. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, Greenville, S.C. A service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21 in the chapel of the funeral home.
