Born Feb. 14, 1912 in Berlin, a daughter of Simon A. and Emma Jane (Walker) Sweitzer. Preceded in death by parents; husband John Barkley Stahl who died Oct. 31, 1996; two brothers, Elwood and Earl Sweitzer; and sister Dorothea Sweitzer. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Mitchell of Somerset; three grandchildren, Mrs. William (Susan) Conrad of New Castle, Del., Jeffrey W. Mitchell, married to the former Erin Connolly of Tarentum, and Mrs. Marshall (Jennifer L.) Policicchio of Chambersburg; three great-grandchildren, Taylor John and Benjamin William Conrad and Olivia Grace Policicchio. She was a 1930 graduate of Berlin High School, and a 1931 graduate of the former Somerset Business School. Member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church where she was past president of the Ever Ready Sunday School Class and was in charge of alter flowers for 50 years. Past treasurer of Somerset Hospital Senior Auxiliary for 18 years and Hospital Auxiliary Board. Past president of Laurel Highland Chapter AARP and was in Who's Who Among Women Civic leaders of America. Retired clerk for the former Letchers Market and Cascio Fruit Market. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Elisa A. Osman and Rev. Walter L.
