Stahl, 85, of Luther Acres, Lititz, formerly of Berlin, Newtown, and Lancaster, died June 10, 1998, at Lancaster General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Berlin, daughter of the late Joseph F. and Martha McLuckie Stahl. Graduate of Berlin High School in 1930, received a Bachelor of Science degree from former California State Teachers College (Pa.) and Masters Degree in Special Education from Penn State University, she also did graduate work for teaching visually impaired at various universities. Began her 42-year teaching career at Berlin-Brothersvalley Township and then taught Special Education classes in Altoona. She taught classes for the visually impaired in Lancaster and on a [sic] itinerant basis in Bucks County before retiring in 1975. Member of Highland Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, where she was a member of the Deborah Circle and taught Sunday School. Also member of Beta Sigma Phi and Delta Kappa Gamma sororities and the Pa. and the National Education associations and Pa. Association of School Retirees. Traveled extensively and served as a volunteer with the Lancaster County Association for the Blind. Survived by a sister: Helen S. Hollyday, Landis Homes, Lititz, and a brother, Robert S., husband of Ethel G. Stahl, of Heritage, Pa. Also several nieces and nephews survive. Memorial services were held June 22, 1998, at The Chapel of the Good Samaritan, Luther Acres, 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz, Pa. Private interment at convenience of the family in Berlin Cemetery.
