   Merle E. Stahl, 93, Stoystown, died Feb. 2, 2008, at home. Born June 20, 1914, in
  Stoystown, the son of George and Ida (Lohr) Stahl. Preceded in death by parents; first
  wife, the former Ann Susan Jonathan; and second wife, the former Bess Marie Stairs.
  Survived by a son, Edward Stahl and wife, Karen, Stowe, Vt.; granddaughters, Cindy
  Fratarcangeli, Fairfield, Conn.; and Heather Stahl, Charleston, S.C.; step-grandson,
  Brian McQueen; and great-grandsons, Jake Robert and Tyler Steven Fratarcangeli. Graduate
  of Stoystown High School and University of Pittsburgh School of Business. He was a former
  Pittsburgh division manager of the Beech-Nut Packing Co., manager of Pittsburgh utility
  sales office of The National Supply Co., manager of Pittsburgh office utility sales of
  Armco Steel Co. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Stoystown, Stoyestown Area
  Historical Society, University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association, Laurel Arts and life
  member of Johnstown BPOE Lodge 175. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service
  at 2 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. The Rev. John Emig officiating.
  Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. Memorial contributions may be given to
  Stoystown Charge UCC, Stoystown, PA 15563.
