Stahl, 82, died at his home on Main St., Berlin, Sunday, Sept. 8, at 1:00 p.m., after an illness of two weeks. He was born in Brothersvalley Township, the son of Peter and Rebecca (Romesberg) Stahl. He was a farmer in the township for many years until he retired and moved into Berlin. Mr. Stahl was a faithful member of the Berlin Brethren Church, in which church he served as deacon until the time of his death. He was a life-long bible student and until failing health prevented was a faithful attendant at all church services. He was a devoted husband and father and leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Mrs. Anna M. Robbins Stahl, and these children: William Stahl, Central City; James C. and George, both of Berlin; Clarence of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Albert Phillips, Central City, and Mrs. Charles Brant, Berlin. Funeral services were held in the Johnson & Son funeral home, Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. S. M. Whetstone officiating. Interment in the Ridge cemetery under direction of Johnson & Son.
