Stahl, 77, of Cuyahoga Falls, formerly of Jones Mills, died July 6, 2001 in the St. Thomas Hospital, Akron, Ohio. He was born Feb. 23, 1924 in Jones Mills, a son of the late Marcus E. and Lulu B. Kalp Stahl. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Elmer D. Stahl, an infant brother William, and grandson Anthony Philip Illar. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Roberta Logan Stahl, a son Lonnie E. Stahl of Akron, Ohio, four daughters, Bonita Jean Stahl of Ravenna, Ohio, Phyllis M. Thorn of Mesa, Ariz., Jennifer L. Heitzer and her husband Robert of Somerset, Wendy L. Vinisky and her husband Joseph of Jenners, 12 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, two sisters, Jane Moore of Rockwood, and Sarah Denner and her husband Eddie of Friedens. Philip was a graduate of Somerset High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a truck driver for Ryder-P.I.E. for 30 1/2 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Cemetery, Saltlick Township, Fayette County.
