Born April 15, 1924, the son of William and Mildred Stahl. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Betty L. Robb, and grandson Adam Lee. Survived by these children: William, married to the former Mary Jo Estep, Oxford; Linda, wife of Edward Snyder, Cherry Hill, N.J.; Mark, married to the former Julie Harmon, Central City, and Craig, married to the former Susan Saylor, Davidsville. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Brother of Kenneth and wife Donna, Mae, wife of Melvin Zimmers, both of Berlin, June widow of Joseph Baker, Somerset. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. Former Chief of Police in Shade Township. Retired foreman of New Enterprise Stone and Lime. Member and trustee of the Central City United Methodist Church. Former board member of the Central City Water Authority. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Central City United Methodist Church. Pastor Doug Burns officiating. Interment Walker Cemetery, Shanksville. Graveside military rites by the Central City American Legion and VFW Post.
