Born Sept. 8, 1985, in Somerset, he is the son of Kenneth and Nanasue (Peck) Stairs of Rockwood. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Robert S. Peck. He is survived by his parents, sister Heather Aileen Stairs, Rockwood, maternal grandmother Aileen Peck, Somerset, and paternal grandparents Paul and Madeline Stairs, Somerset. Also numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. He is a 2004 graduate of Rockwood Area High School and a private first class in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he was trained as a forward observer for artillery. He was stationed at Twentynine Palms Marine Base in California. He was fond of fishing and loved motorcycles. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Mark Zimmerman officiating.
