  STAIRS
  
    Virginia May Stairs, 71, St. Marys, W.Va., formerly of Confluence,
  died Oct. 3, 1996 at her home.  Born Oct. 9, 1925 in Confluence, a
  daughter of the late Lewis and Evelyn (Moore) Lenhart.  Survived by
  her husband of 49 years, James Stairs; a son, Richard, Newburg, Md.;
  two daughters: Darla Margroff, Marion, Ind.; and Hollie Rankin,
  Sistersville, W.Va.; four grandchildren: Alisa Lowry, Jennerstown;
  Bryan Margroff, Muncy, Ind.; Lindsay Brown and Courtney Rankin,
  Sistersville, W.Va.; also two great grandchildren: Alexis Bryn Lowry,
  Jennerstown; and Caleb Margroff, Muncy, Ind.  She was a member of the
  First Baptist Church of St. Marys.  Friends will be received from 7
  to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where
  services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Elliott
  Stabler officiating.  Interment, Jersey Cemetery.
