  STANCZYK
  
    James Stanczyk, 61, of Old Shaffer Rd., Somerset, died Sept. 30,
  1997 at Somerset Hospital.  Born July 7, 1936 in Lincoln Township,
  Somerset County, the son of Walter and Helen (Borek) Stanczyk. 
  Preceded in death by parents and two grandsons.  Survived by wife,
  the former Carolyn Beatrice Eck, to whom he was married 38 years and
  these children: Anthony J. Stanczyk and Donna Hitechrew, Cairnbrook;
  Jeffrey L. Stanczyk, married to the former Brenda Fleegle, Somerset
  Bryan K. Stanczyk, married to the former Laura Stahl, Meyersdale; and
  James A. Stanczyk, married to the former Patricia Ross, Friedens; also
  10 grandchildren.  Brother of John S. Stanczyk, Somerset; Mrs. Sophia
  M. Kenemore, Somerset; Mrs. Lowell (Helen) Culp, Lima, Ohio; Mrs.
  Mary Pero, Somerset; Stanley A. Stanczyk, Somerset; Walter Stanczyk
  Jr., Lima, Ohio; Mrs. Dean (Ruth) Ankeny, Hartwood, Va.; Mrs. James
  (Alice) Mankie, New Alexandria, Pa.; Daniel Stanczyk, York, Pa.; Mrs.
  Ray (Esther) Phillippi, Rockwood; David W. Stanczyk, Long Beach,
  Calif.; Miss Elizabeth Stanczyk, Somerset; and a very special
  sister-in-law, Dee Hall, Somerset.  Employed at PennDOT for 26
  years.  Member of Local 2125 AFSCME.  An avid hunter, fisherman and
  gardener.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev.
  Russell B. Kessler officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial
  Park.  Contributions may be made to Somerset "In-Touch" Hospice, 651
  South Center Ave., Somerset, Pa., 15501 and the American Cancer
  Society, 168 West Union Street, Somerset, Pa., 15501.
