  STANLEY E. STANTON
  
    Stanley E. Stanton, 70, of Grantsville RD 2, Md., died March 23,
  1979 in Martinsburg, W.Va., VA Center.
    Born in Grantsville, he was a son of the late Earl and Malinda
  (Orendorf) Stanton.
    He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Grantsville
  American Legion Post 213 and was a veteran of World War II.
    Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lucretia (Meyers) Stanton; six sons,
  Carl Stanton, North Canton, Ohio; William Clay Stanton, Alvin, Texas;
  Stanley R. Stanton, Meyersdale; David Stanton, Fayetteville, Pa.; John
  Stanton, Grantsville and Sam Stanton, Accident, Md.; a daughter, Mrs.
  Mary Hertchel, Grantsville; four brothers, Leslie Stanton, Frank
  Stanton, Dalton Stanton, all of Grantsville; and Glenn Stanton
  Frostburg, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Naomi Myers, Markleysburg; 18
  grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville,
  where services were conducted with Rev. James Mitchell officiating. 
  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
