  STAPINSKI
  
  John J. Stapinski Sr., 74, Berlin RD 3, died Sept. 4, 1989 at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born June 24, 1915 in Brothersvalley Township,
  son of Stanley and Susan Stapinski.  Preceded in death by parents;
  his wife, the former Stella Slifco; and sister, Susan Martelli. 
  Survived by son, John J. Jr., married to the former Joann May,
  Cleveland, Ohio, granddaughters, Sandra and Carol; and great
  grandson, Matthew.  Brother of Mary Umbel, Uniontown; Stanley,
  Carmichaels; Helen Kleinert, Pittsburgh; and Joseph, Joliet, Ill. 
  Retired construction worker and coal miner.  Family will receive
  friends from 2-4  and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Berlin, where service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. John
  Govrusik officiating.  Interment, St. Gregory's Cemetery,
  Macdonaldton.  Parastas will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the
  funeral home.
