  ANNA MAE STARKEY
  
    Anna Mae Starkey, 87, of the Allegany County Nursing Home, formerly
  of Cumberland, Md., died Saturday, Feb. 11, 1989 at Memorial Hospital,
  Cumberland, Md. 
    Born in Allegany County Dec. 23, 1901, she was the daughter of the
  late William H. and Esther (Pogue) Burkett.
    She was a retired employee of the Cumberland Laundry Company and
  was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church.
    Her husband, Herman F. Starkey, died May 19, 1965.
    Survivors include two sons, Herman E. Starkey, Wellersburg; and
  William H. Starkey, Hyndman; two daughters, Hilda H. Mellott,
  Corriganville, Md.; and Geraldine E. Goss, Cresaptown, Md.; two
  brothers, Irvin Burkett and George Burkett, both of Corriganville,
  Md.; four sisters, Mary Bridges, Claysburg; and Mame Conners, Nellie
  Bridges and Elsie Hartsock, all of Corriganville, Md.; 24
  grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and six great
  great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Virginia
  Avenue, where services were conducted at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Gary J.
  Butler.
    Interment, Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
