  STATLER
  
  William B. Statler, 74, Central City, died Oct. 23, 1986,
  Pittsburgh.  Born July 29, 1912, in Shade Township, son of the late
  Oliver Bruce and Alda (Daley) Statler.  Preceded in death by wife,
  the former Jane Johnson; brothers, Herbert and Kenneth; and sister,
  Dorothy.  Survived by daughter, Christine J., wife of Frantz Herko,
  Latrobe.  Brother of: Mrs. Pam Venner of California; Mrs. Ellen
  Bellinger and Ruth Hawke, both of Florida.  Former Somerset County
  Superintendent of Schools and assistant executive director of
  Intermediate Unit 8.  Friends received 7-9 p.m. Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9
  Sunday in the Charles E. Brumbaugh Funeral Home, Central City, where
  service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Oden R. Warman. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
