She was born in Lansford, Pa., May 14, 1914. She is survived by her husband Rev. Charles E. Staub, of Gettysburg, a retired Lutheran pastor; a son, C. Martin, of Olney, MD and two grandchildren, David and Cami Sue. She was a resident of Meyersdale from 1954 to 1969, when her husband was pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. In 1968, she was named the sixth "Citizen of the Year" in Meyersdale. She was active in church and community work, was director of the Somerset County Child Welfare Agency; social worker for Berks County Children's Aid Society; caseworker for Allegheny Region of Lutheran Social Services of Central PA Synod. She simultaneously served on the executive boards of Tressler Social Services, Lutheran Church Women and the Central PA Synod of the Lutheran Church in America. A memorial service was held Feb. 14 at Christ Lutheran Church, Gettysburg. The Republic, March 17, 1988 [S2833]
