Born June 20, 1919, in Somerset County; he was a son of the late Robert and Margaret (Beal) Staub. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Victoria H. (Testa) Staub, on Dec. 29, 1993. Staub was retired after 33 years of service as a cook for the B&O Railroad. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and was a member of Charles E. Kelley Post 112, American Legion, Meyersdale; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Guernsey Aerie 386, Cambridge, Ohio; and past president of the Maple Leaf Rod & Gun Club in Meyersdale. Staub is survived by two daughters, Lorene Keister and Doris Stein and her husband, Frank, all of Grantsville; two sisters, Mary Edith Keim and her husband, Paul, of Jerome; and Agnes Caler, West Salisbury; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Nov. 29. Services were conducted Nov. 30 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Yoder officiating. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
