CLAIR Floyd St. Clair, 85, Boswell RD 2, died Sept. 6, 1988, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 16, 1903, in Jenners Township, son of the late Fred and Mary (Ankney) St. Clair. Preceded in death by wife, Mary S. (Zerfoss). Also preceded by brothers, Dorsey and Charles, and one sister, Hazel Sipe. Survived by these children: Carl, married to the former Janet Cochran; Viola, wife of Walter J. Willison; Dwight, married to the former Betty J. Ash, all of Boswell RD 2; Laura, wife of John W. Penrod of Holsopple [sic] RD 2; and Cora, wife of Donald Brant, Gray; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene, wife of Marcellus Kline, Somerset RD 3. He was a member of the Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ where he served as a former Sunday School teacher and church council member. He served for many years on the Beam Cemetery Association as both an active and honorary member. He was a retired farmer. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Funeral service Friday 11 a.m. in the Mt. Laurel Church, the Rev. Joseph R. Beer officiating. Interment, church cemetery. The body will lie in state in the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Laurel Church. Daily American, September 7, 1988 [S2856]
