  MONTREDA STECKMAN
  
    Montreda Steckman, 74, of Somerset, formerly of Stoystown, went to
  be with the Lord on Jan. 30, 1998, at Memorial Medical Center,
  Johnstown.  Born May 14, 1923, in Quemahoning Township.  Daughter of
  Edward and Pearl (Berkebile) Flick.  Preceded in death by parents;
  brothers, Merle, John, Russell and Robert and Orville Flick; sisters,
  Lillian Worsell and Elizabeth Flick.  Survived by husband of 55 years,
  Elmer T. "Shorty" Steckman Sr., and these children: Dennis, Somerset;
  Kayleen, married to Barry Blubaugh, Stoystown; Elmer Thomas Jr.,
  married to the former Pat Mitchell, Boswell; also eight
  grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.  Sister of Eugene Flick of
  Kerrville, Texas, and Edward and Howard, both of Somerset.  Member of
  Laurel Mountain Grace Brethren Church.  Family will receive friends
  from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service
  at 11 a.m. Monday at Laurel Mountain Grace Brethren Church, Route
  985, north of Jennerstown, Rev. Alan Hess.  Interment, Husband
  Cemetery.
