    Frank Steele, 78, of Somerset RD 2 died Dec. 4, 1993, in Allegheny
  General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Nov. 12, 1915, in Hopewell.  Son
  of the late Marshall and Jane (Lowery) Steele.  Preceded by the
  following brothers and sisters: Lloyd, John, Samuel, William, Paul,
  Janet, Margaret and Grace.  Survived by wife, Mary (Mitchell) Steele;
  son Frank L., married to the former Rhonda Weigle, Somerset RD 2, and
  three grandchildren, Aimee, Jeremy and Jesse.  Brother of Naomi Patsy
  of Maryland, Edith Robertson of York, and Maude Lipchute and Billie
  Nathey, both of Florida.  Retired from the G.M.W. Coal Company. 
  Member of the Local 1742, UMWA, and FOE 1801, Somerset.  Veteran of
  World War II, serving on the USS Evans D 552.  Friends will be
  received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
  in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted
  at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Randall W. Bain officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
