  STEELE
  
    George W. "Nute" Steele, 93, of Somerset, formerly of 19737
  National Highway N.W. (Big Savage Mountain), Frostburg, Md., passed
  away Nov. 2, 1995 at Siemon's Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born in
  Zihlman, Md., he was the son of the late Conrad and Mary Elizabeth
  (Williams) Steele.  Mr. Steele retired from Laborers Union Local #616
  on Sept. 1, 1971.  He was a lifelong member of Zihlman United
  Methodist Church.  Preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Regina
  (Miller) Steele, on Jan. 11, 1984, ending a marriage of 44 years. 
  Also preceded by sisters Marie Ward, Mary Bowman and Annie Steele. 
  He is survived by daughter, Darlene Beal and her husband Jack of
  Somerset, 2 granddaughters, Nancy Beal of Waterville, Me. and Denise
  Jacobs and her husband Frank; 2 great-grandchildren Zebulon and
  Christa all of Somerset, and a number of nieces and nephews.  Friends
  will be received at Sowers Funeral Home, 60 W. Main St., Frostburg,
  Md., Sunday, Nov. 5, from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral services
  will be conducted at Frostburg United Methodist Church, Monday, Nov.
  6 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating.  Interment
  will be at Frostburg Memorial Park.  The family requests expressions
  of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes
  Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 700, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15235.
