Stein, 90, of Somerset, died April 20, 2003 at home. Born June 4, 1912, in Rockwood, she is the last surviving child of nine children of Harry S. and Mary (Bittner) Spangler. Also preceded in death by first husband, Frank E. Mahoney and second husband, John W. Stein; brothers and sisters, Charles Spangler, Julia Schrock, Ruth Gnagey, Ann Mostoller, Mildred Miller, Harry Spangler Jr., Robert Spangler and Betty Stutzman. Survived by sons, Frank E. Mahoney of Broomall, and George P. Stein II of Somerset; four grandchildren, Allison Conkin, Meredith Leve, Scott Mahoney and Ursula Stein; two great-grandchildren, Drew and Hannah Conkin; and friend and super caregiver Teresa M. Stein of Rockwood. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Forbes Road Chapter of DAR since December of 1939. There will be no viewing or visitation. Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 918 Tayman Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501. Arrangements under the direction of Robert H.
