  John W. Stein, 84, of Somerset, died Nov. 21, 1988, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 14, 1904, in Somerset County, the son
  of the late George P. and Emma (Walter) Stein.  Also preceded in
  death by his sister, Anna Stein Cameron.  Survived by his wife, the
  former Florence Spangler; two sons, Frank Edward Mahoney of
  Philadelphia and George P. Stein II of Somerset; also four
  grandchildren.  Retired real estate broker.  Member of Trinity
  Lutheran Church, Somerset; life member of the Somerset Volunteer Fire
  Department; past president of the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce
  and former member of the Somerset Borough Council and a member of the
  Sons of the American Revolution.  Memorial services will be held
  Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. H.
  James Meyers officiating.  Contributions may be made to the Trinity
  Lutheran Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.
