Born July 9, 1924 in Laurel, Iowa. Daughter of Cornell Knight and Ruth (Barton) Knight who died Aug. 17, 2000 at the age of 98. Preceded in death by parents, husband Russell F. on Nov. 4, 1985, son Dennis F. on July 3, 1964, and sister Norma Knight. Survived by: son, Dale R., Jennerstown; grandchildren, Nicholas and Denise; great-granddaughter, Julie Nicole Steinkirchner; sisters, Shirley, married to Ernest Lamberson, Groom, Texas, Doris Slocum, Amarillo, Texas, and NelDean married to Leon Bagwell, Grouver, Texas; sister-in-law Eleanor (Steinkirchner) Williams, Somerset RD, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish, Somerset Post 181 American Legion Auxiliary, Somerset Country Club, and the 55 and Over Speeders, and former member of the Soroptimist Club of Somerset County. Enjoyed playing golf and card games. Retired from the Jennerstown Post Office with 34 years total service and service as postmistress from 1966 to 1983. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday. Funeral mass at 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Church, Boswell. Rev. Martin Breski, OFM Conv. celebrant. Committal, Somerset County Memorial Park.
