She was predeceased by husbands, Jerauld N. Dershimer, Richard D. Yaun and Ernest N. Stephens. With Mr. Stephens, she moved in March 1998 to the Waterford, a life-care facility in Juno Beach, Fla. She remained there until her death. She graduated from Penn State University in June of 1936. She was employed by Allegheny-Ludlum and Jones & Laughlin Steel companies in Pittsburgh until early 1944 when she joined the Red Cross. She served overseas as a staff aide in Army hospitals in England and Germany for over two years. Upon returning to the states, she was employed by the Reader's Digest and McGraw-Hill Publishing.
