   Maria J. Stephens, 53, Confluence, died Jan. 2, 2007, at her home. She was born Oct. 15,
  1953, in Suza, Yugoslavia, a daughter of Paul and Julianna (Szalai) Juhas. She immigrated
  to the U.S. and became a naturalized citizen in 1966. Her father and a sister Julie Czura
  preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother of Napa, Calif.; husband, James H.
  Stephens; son, Jason H. Stephens, Confluence; daughter, Julie M. Wenger and husband,
  Brian; and grandchildren, Mathew and Natalie, Mason, Ohio. Also survived by brother, Paul
  Juhas; and sisters, Maggie Lash, Nappa, Calif.; Elizabeth Varga and husband, Josip,
  Copere, Slovenia; and Suzie Sylvasi and husband, Arturo, Medina, Ohio. Maria was formerly
  employed as manager at Commodity Services for Federated Investors Management Co.,
  Pittsburgh. A funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment
  in Somerset County Memorial Park. Family suggests memorial contributions to the American
  Cancer Society, 168 W. Union St., Somerset, PA 15501. Arrangements are being handled by
  the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence.
