    Benjamin B. Stern, Jr., 45, of Friedens RD 1, died Oct. 1, 1980 at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born May 20, 1935 in Somerset Twp., son
  of Benjamin B. and Flora (Harvey) Stern Sr., Friedens RD 1.  Also
  survived by wife, the former Lois A. Kimmel, and children: Alan B.,
  at home; and Debora A., Coraopolis.  Brother of Andrew L., Friedens
  RD 1; and James E., Stoystown RD 1.  Member Friedens  Lutheran
  Church, Camp Knox Lodge No. 919 F&AM, Radcliff, Ky., Pittsburgh
  Consistory, Jaffa Temple, Trinity O.E.S. No. 138, where he served as
  worthy patron for the past 10 years, Somerset I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 438,
  American Legion, Meyersdale Elks Lodge, and part-owner of Stern
  Building Supply Inc.  Friends received after 7 p.m. Thursday in the
  Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home.  Services Saturday 10 a.m. at
  Friedens Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Ling officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Body will lie in state at
  church from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time.  Eastern Star
  services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.  In
  lieu of flowers, family requests that contributions be made to the
  Friedens Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
