    Flora R. Stern, 95, Friedens, died July 14, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 11,
  1912, in Gallitzen, Cambria County, a daughter of Alexander and Barbaria (Lodge) Harvey.
  Preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Benjamin Bailey Stern Sr.; a
  son, Benjamin Jr.; brothers, Howard, John, Thomas, Andrew and Alexander; sisters, Helen,
  Lillias, Margaret and Jane. Survived by children, Andrew Lee Stern, married to the former
  Leoma Beam, Friedens and James E. Stern, Stoystown; daughter-in-law, Lois (Kimmel) Stern,
  Friedens; grandchildren, Sandy Hartline, Ron Stern, Alan Stern, Debra Eberhardt, Rebecca
  Custer, Benjamin Stern and Jane Uphouse; great-grandchildren, Adam Stern, Kyle Stern,
  Ashley, Heidi and Kurt Eberhardt, Ryan and Matthew Custer, and Benjamin Stern II. She was
  the last surviving member of her immediate family. Former co-owner of Stern Building
  Supply Company. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church. Family will receive friends from 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Additional viewing from 1
  p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Friedens Lutheran Church. The Rev.
  Edward DeVore officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial
  contributions may be given to the Friedens Lutheran Church, 131 S. Main St., Friedens, PA
