STERN

James W. Stern, 67, Friedens RD 1, died Dec. 25, 1983, in his
residence.  Born July 3, 1916, in Quemahoning Township, son of
Russell and Emma Jane (Ogline) Stern.  Survived by wife, former
Virginia Horner; and these children: Donna, wife of Joe Williams,
Jacksonville, Fla.; Marion, wife of Richard W. Smith, Friedens RD 1;
Janet, wife of Eddie Rinker, Keyser, W.Va.; Russell E., Somerset RD
5; and Clifford O., Friedens; and 11 grandchildren.  Also survived by
two brothers, Clay, Stoystown; and John, Quecreek; two sisters, Olive
Manges, Jerome; and Virginia Cole, Gray.  Member of Somerset Bible
Baptist Church.  Friends are being received in the Robert H.
Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, the Rev. Dale Lyzbicki, officiating.  Interment, Somerset
County Memorial Park.
