  PUMPHREY STERN
  
    Jane C. Pumphrey Stern, 77, of Mount Lebanon and Somerset, passed
  away Sunday at her home.  Born Sept. 28, 1917, in Oakmont, daughter
  of the late Edward Thomas and Emily Cornelia (Hoover) Causer. 
  Preceded in death by her two husbands: Robert G. Pumphrey in 1991 and
  Joseph Stern in 1993; son, Robert J. Pumphery in 1993, and sister,
  Evelyn Causer Cairns.  Survived by her daughter-in-law, Judith H.
  Pumphrey Santoro; two granddaughters: Lauren and Emily Pumphrey, and
  two sisters: Doll H. Causer Cleland and Mary Causer Richards.  She
  was a graduate of Geneva College and a retired Mount Lebanon junior
  high school teacher.  No funeral home hours.  Relatives and friends
  are invited to attend her memorial service in St. Paul Episcopal
  Church, 1066 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, on Friday afternoon at 3
  o'clock.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, if desired, to
  Family Hospice, 1910 Cochran Road, Suite 500, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15220,
  or to the American Cancer Society, 241 Fourth Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pa.
