  Martha Florence Stern, 80, of Friedens, died June 29, 2003 at
  Somerset Patriot Manor.  Born Dec. 30, 1922 in Somerset Twp. a
  daughter of Charles Walter and Hattie Elizabeth (Pletcher) Zeigler. 
  Preceded in death by parents; husband Louther Owen Stern who died
  Dec. 15*, 1973; sisters Emma Zeigler and Mae Heist.  Survived by
  sister, Dorothy Heist of Leetsdale, Pa. and numerous nieces and
  nephews.  Member of Listie Grace Brethren Church.  She worked for
  many years as a self-employed housekeeper.  No viewing or
  visitation.  Service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Listie
  Grace Brethren Church with the Rev. Ronzil L. Jarvis officiating. 
  Interment Weller Cemetery.  Arrangements by the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home.
