   Robert W. Stern, 70, Somerset, died Jan. 11, 2008, at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 30,
  1937, in Mount Pleasant, son of Lawrence and Catherine (Harkom) Stern. Preceded in death
  by parents; and first wife, the former Bessie Louise Bovina. Survived by his wife, the
  former Joyce Johnson; sons, Kenneth W., Walnut Creek, Calif.; Robert L. and wife, Betsy,
  Berlin; and Barry F. and wife, Ana Christi, Cerritos, Calif.; and grandchildren, Brandon,
  Cory, Devin, Shaina, Seth, Maura, Kenny, Michael, Alex, Angel, Esther, and Cailin. He was
  a Korean War Army veteran, and a retired truck driver. Mr. Stern graciously chose to be
  an organ and tissue donor. He was a member of Somerset Church of the Brethren where a
  memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Mark S. Bendes officiating.
  Memorial contributions may be given to Somerset County Humane Society, P.O. Box 182,
  Somerset, PA 15501. Arrangements by Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Robert will be missed
  by his loving family and friends
