    Bernice Mae Sterner, 68, Rockwood, (Black Township), died Jan. 5,
  1999, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Oct. 19, 1930, in Quemahoning
  Township, daughter of the late William T. and Ada Pearl (Miller)
  Miller.  Also preceded in death by children, Sheldon Ray and Angela
  Kaye Leasock; infant grandson, Bruce E. Mimna Jr.; sister, Betty Jane
  Hamilton; brothers, Vernon, Virgil, Kenneth, Stewart, Clinton, R.
  Wayne Miller and three infant brothers.  Survived by husband, Otis L.
  Sterner; children: Steven W. Leasock, Germany; Cynthia R. "Cyndi"
  (Leasock) Mimna, Somerset; and John C. "J.C." Leasock, married to the
  former Teresa Swift, of Petersburg; 4 grandchildren: Michael S.
  Leasock, Germany; Joshua C. Leasock, Shanksville; Allison P. Mimna,
  Somerset; and Zachary S. Leasock, Petersburg.  Sister of Raymond O.
  Miller, Somerset, and Mrs. Alvin Lavan (Verda R.) Laughlin of
  Romulus, Mich.  Member of Rockwood Church of the Brethren.  A 1949
  graduate of Somerset Township High School.  Friends received from 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Jay L.
  Christner officiating.  Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery. 
  Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the
  Diabetes Foundation.
