  STERNER
  
    Fern Arlene Sterner, 89, Patriot Manor, formerly of Rockwood, died
  Oct. 19, 1998, in the manor.  Born Oct. 12, 1909, in Somerset County,
  a daughter of the late George and Hattie (Nichol) Knopsnyder.  Also
  preceded in death by husband, Ralph and two sons, Alton and Lloyd. 
  Survived by these children: Warren C., married to the former
  Bernadine Roddy, Rockwood; Ray V., married to the former Arlene Baer,
  Rockwood; Otis, married to the former Bernice Miller, Rockwood; and
  Lee, married to the former Loretta Yoder, Somerset; Ruth Bailey and
  Lloraine [sic] Sterner, both of Detroit, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; 21
  great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  Sister of
  Catherine Spangler, Somerset, Ruben Knopsnyder of Markleton, and
  Blaine Knopsnyder of Rockwood.  Member of the Rockwood Church of the
  Brethren.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Tuesday) in
  the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted
  at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Rev. Jay L. Christner.  Interment, Rockwood
  I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
