    Leona M. Sterner, 73, Confluence, passed away Aug. 6, 2007, in her home. She was born
  July 23, 1934, in Bruceton Mills, W.Va., daughter of the late George and Virgie (Bell)
  Mates. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow J.
  Sterner; a twin brother, Lawrence; and sisters, Anna and Claira; and two
  great-granddaughters, Audrey and Audra. Surviving are a son, Bob Sterner and wife, Diane,
  and a daughter, Audrey Feathers and husband, John, all of Confluence; five grandchildren,
  Robert Feathers and wife, Amy; Stacy Feathers and Thomas Close II; Jamie Sterner and
  wife, Christy; Johnny Feathers Jr. and wife, Stephanie; and Winter Villarreal and
  husband, Eddie; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Thomas Close III, Johnny
  Feathers III and Kristen and Siane, and Devin Feathers and Troy Wilburn II. Friends will
  be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and until 11
  a.m., the hour of service, Friday in the Rodney S. Turner Funeral Home, 254 Main St.,
  Markleysburg. Interment will follow in Addison cemetery.
