  Oscar E. Sterner, 68, of 166 Conemaugh Ave., Jerome, died June 18 in
  Lee Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Dec. 7, 1905 in Black Township, son of
  Russell and Sadie Hechler Sterner.  Preceded in death by father, two
  sisters and two brothers.  Survived by mother of Rockwood RD 1, and
  wife, the former Evalene L. Weimer and these children: Donald,
  married to Margaret Jones, and Zola, wife of Ray Borosky, both of
  North Evans, N.Y.; Dean married to Dorthea Lattorff both of
  Johnstown; Paul, married to Edith Hollmer, Angola, N.Y.; Gary married
  to Rosa Long, Fort Worth, Texas, Lois, wife of Douglas Bogardus of
  Derby, N.Y., 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Brother of
  Floyd, Ralph, and Hazel, wife of Charles Koontz, all of Rockwood
  RD.  A member of Nazarene Church of Jerome, UMWA local 1742 of
  Jenners.  Family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home,
  Davidsville.  Prayer service, Friday at 1 p.m. at the late residence
  followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. at the Nazarine Church,
  Jerome with the Rev. Elwood R. Vandiver officiating.  Interment,
  Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Remains to lie in state at the church
  from noon to service time.
