  Sophie M. (Gontis) Stets, 79, Boswell RD 2, died Oct. 23, 1988 at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 1, 1908 in Ludlow, Mass.,
  daughter of John and Mary (Moskal) Gontis.  Preceded in death by
  parents; sister, Genevieve Kavar; brothers, John and Charles. 
  Survived by husband, Peter J.; daughters: Dolores, wife of Ron
  Wasylczak, Somerset; Patricia, wife of Thomas McGuire, Waldorf, Md.;
  granddaughter, Ramona McGuire; sister of Joseph, married to former
  Anna (Stetz) and Victor, married to former Mary Ann (Tims), both of
  Boswell RD 2.  Member of St. John Catholic Church, Acosta.  Death
  occurred on 54th wedding anniversary.  Employed for 18 years by
  Junior Form Lingerie, Boswell.  Friends received 7-9 p.m. Monday and
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St., Boswell,
  where Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.  Mass of Christian
  burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Church, Father Benjamin
  Dykas, officiating.  Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery, Ralphton.
